Plymouth prospectus for primary care.
NHS Devon CCG and Plymouth City Council (PCC) have developed a ‘prospectus’ for general practice in Plymouth for practices to respond to, a copy of which can be downloaded below. This document lists a series of offers to primary care, to assist with practice resilience, addressing some of the challenges and pressure that practices in Plymouth have and continue to face.
We have initially developed this document for Plymouth as it has some of the most concentrated levels of deprivation and workforce challenges, but we know that these issues are universal and are currently being experienced by practices right across the county.
Investment for the offers listed within the prospectus is provided from existing CCG resources; there is no disinvestment from other parts of Devon to allow this work to happen and no actively funded work across Devon will cease.
We will be exploring how we could extend these offers and initiatives to other parts of Devon.
