Hypertension Outreach for Community Pharmacists.
Hypertension, commonly known as high blood pressure, is a significant risk factor for cardiovascular diseases and other health complications. Community pharmacists play a critical role in identifying and managing hypertension through the NHS Hypertension Case-Finding Service.
Hypertension outreach events are being planned across Devon, Torbay and Plymouth, and community pharmacies are invited to join in these events.
Pharmacies are asked to express an interest in attending these events by clicking the relevant link below.

Pharmacy: Supporting the Check Your Blood Pressure campaign
If your community pharmacy is looking to support the Check Your Blood Pressure (CYBP) campaign, please complete the form linked below to inform us of your intentions. Support for the campaign should fall under one of the following four tiers.
Tier 1
- Ensure information on the NHS Directory of Services is up to date.
- Upload any planned activity/offers/services for the Check Your Blood Pressure campaign, to the One Devon CVD Prevention page for linked communications.
Tier 2
- Display Check Your Blood Pressure posters & resources, (could include hard copy & digital including screen based assets).
- Signpost to CYBP local events/services/materials as appropriate.
Tier 3
- Plan specific Check Your Blood Pressure activity for KYN week, i.e. additional space/resources/staff to carry out BP testing in pharmacy setting.
Tier 4
- Plan wider engagement work, place-based, GP engagement, i.e. texting & inviting of eligible/target patients through wider primary care systems.
